Pennie Marlene LaVan
Pennie Marlene LaVan, 59, of Prospect passed away Wednesday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.
She was born July 29, 1957, in Butler, to the late William “Bill” Reep and the late Sandra Marlene (Evans) Beeman.
Pennie previously drove a school bus and worked at Traco Windows, and then worked at AK Steel, since 1997, where she planned to retire from Aug. 31.
Pennie enjoyed horseback riding as a child. She liked camping, taking care of her cats, cutting grass and sitting by the fire drinking Keystone Light.
She is survived by one sister, Michele Beeman of Greenville, S.C.; two brothers, Dennis Beeman of Greenville, S.C., and Pat Reep and his wife, Penny, of Parker; her nieces, Amber Reges, Amanda Beeman and several other nieces; six nephews, Dennis Beeman Jr., Eric Beeman, Chris Burnett, Donnie Beeman, Justin Anthony and Chance Reep; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandmother, Helen Evans; two brothers, John Beeman and Robert Beeman; her stepfather, Howard Eppinger; and her good friend, Gary Pfeiffer.
LAVAN — Friends of Pennie Marlene LaVan, who died Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2016, will be received from 12:30 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E.
