One arrest has been made after three Zelienople businesses reported vandalism and one reported a burglary, Friday night and early Saturday morning.

Zelienople police Sunday confirmed they arrested one person following their investigation into a burglary at the Exxon service station at 517 S. Main St. Police said the same person is believed to be the culprit in vandalizing other local businesses.

Since the report appearing in Monday’s Butler Eagle, the person has since been identified as Michael P. Shipley, 33, of Zelienople.

District Judge Amy Marcinkiewicz arraigned Shipley on Monday. His charges include felony counts of burglary and trespass, as well as four misdmeanor counts of criminal mischief.

He was placed in Butler County Prison on $30,000 bond.
