2-vehicle crash sends driver to BMH
BUTLER TWP — One person was hospitalized after a two-vehicle crash Monday morning on South Benbrook Road at its intersection with Greenwood Drive.
The driver of a Honda Pilot was taken by ambulance to Butler Memorial Hospital with injuries of unknown severity.
Butler Township Police, Butler Township and Butler VA firefighters and Butler Ambulance were called to the scene around 8 a.m.
According to Butler Township Police, who investigated the crash, the Honda Pilot was making a right turn from Greenwood Drive into the northbound lane of South Benbrook Road when it crashed into a Hyundai sedan.
The Hyundai driver did not appear injured as they walked around the scene.
Both vehicles were towed from the scene. The driver’s side of the Hyundai was heavily dented, and all of its air bags had deployed. The Pilot’s front bumper and grill appeared disheveled and bent.
Firefighters directed traffic that had been restricted to one lane until the scene was cleared at 8:40 a.m.
