Jerry R. McCurdy
Jerry R. McCurdy, 78, of Adamsville, Pa., passed away at 10:50 a.m. Tuesday.
He was born March 19, 1935, in Greenville, Pa., to the late Ray and Lucy (Hunt) McCurdy.
He married Ruth (Groce) McCurdy in March of 1957, and she passed away on Oct. 8, 1987.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He retired from Greenville Steel Car after working there for 30 years. He was also a lifetime dairy farmer.
He enjoyed his grandchildren, hunting, fishing and 4-wheeling.
He is survived by his sons, Jerald (Christy) McCurdy of Richmond, Va., and Jeremy (Margaret) McCurdy of Adamsville, Pa.; his daughter, Susan (Russell) Davis of Slippery Rock; and his sister, Norma Jean “Mickey” Miller of Greenville, Pa.
He was preceded in death by his brother, John C. “Jack” McCurdy.
MCCURDY — There are no visitations or services for Jerry R. McCurdy, who passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2013. Burial will be at Rocky Glen Cemetery, Adamsville, Pa.Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Randall Funeral Home, Jamestown, Pa.
