Germaine R. Callen, 82, of Butler, died Tuesday at the Sugar Creek Rest.

Born Jan. 26, 1926, in Corbin, Ky., she was the daughter of Charles Roscoe and Laura Green Roark

She graduated from Corbin High School and Hellem's Beauty School in Louisville, Ky.; and she had owned several area beauty shops. She loved antiques and had operated several antique stores.

She enjoyed collectible dolls and spending time with her family.

Surviving are two sons, Harry "Buddy" III and Scott M. (Teresa) Callen, both of Butler; a daughter, Mrs. Dayne (Elizabeth "Betsy") Cypher of Butler; and a granddaughter, Kerry Lynn Callen.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Dr. H.E. Callen Jr., who died Oct. 23, 2004; two infant sons; and a brother, Malcolm Roark.

<B>CALLEN </B>— Friends of Germaine R. Callen, who died Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2008, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 1 to 3 p.m. Friday at the <B>Fox Funeral Home</B>, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg, where services will follow at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Barry Keurulainen officiating.
