Janet M. Vensel Ochs
Janet M. Vensel Ochs, 85, of Kittanning passed away Saturday at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital.
She was born July 4, 1927, in Kittanning, to the late Harry C. Vensel and the late Marea (Quinn) Vensel.
A lifelong resident of Kittanning, she was a member of the St. Mary Our Lady of Guadalupe Roman Catholic Church in Kittanning. She loved spending time with her four daughters and her grandchildren. She enjoyed baking, shopping and walking, and spent a lot of time at Mac's Gym. She was an avid animal lover and loved the beach.
Surviving are her daughters, Teri Boxco of Fenelton, Sally (Danny) Edwards of Kittanning, Sue Ochs of Kittanning and Lee (Mark) Galante of Butler; grandson, Richard (Jessica) Bosco of Butler; grandaughters, Jenna (Andrew) Hall of Miami, Danna Edwards of Chicago and Jessica (Kirk) Atwood of Kittanning; grandson, Marc Galante of Butler; great-grandaughters, Abigail, Amelia and Alexandra Bosco of Butler; great-grandson, Cyrus Atwood of Kittanning; numerous nieces and nephews; and longtime dear friend Margie Atkinson of Kittanning.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James B. Ochs, who passed away April 11, 2003; son-in-law, Dr. Richard J. Bosco; and brother, Jack Vensel.
OCHS — Janet M. Vensel Ochs passed away Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Kittanning.Parting prayers will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. at the St. Mary of Guadelupe Roman Catholic Church in Kittanning, with Father Daniel Blout and Father Raphael Glinkowski as celebrants.Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetary in Kittanning.Memorial contributions may be made in Janet's honor to the Orphans of the Storm, 11878 State Route 85, Kittanning, PA 16201, or the Activity Fund at the Armstrong County Health Center.
