Sarah E. "Sally" Snyder, 79, of Pompano Beach, Fla., formerly of Ellwood City and Butler, died July 28 in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., after heart surgery.

Born Sept. 24, 1925, in New Castle, she was the daughter of Furman and Emma Rosalie Jones Steed.

In 1943, she graduated with honors from Lincoln High School in Ellwood City and retired in 1966 as an accountant at Aetna Standard. She formerly worked at Cavered Wire.

Mrs. Snyder enjoyed golf and bridge and belonged to the Fort Lauderdale Country Club and the Coral Ridge Yacht Club. She was a former member of a Butler area Presbyterian church.

She is survived by her husband, Charles A. Snyder; a sister, Mary Lou Sanner of San Antonio, Texas; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a niece.

SNYDER - A memorial service for Sarah E. "Sally" Snyder, who died Friday, July 28, 2005, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the John Knox Village Chapel, Pompano Beach.Memorial donations may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
