Those we have held in our arms for a little while, we hold in our hearts forever.

A wonderful gift was given forty eight years ago today.

We could not know and just as well, how very brief your stay.

You made us proud, brought such fun, such joy into your home, and leaving, left a space no one else may own.

Loving you and missing you, all that’s left it seems.

And now we hear your laughter still, but only in our dreams.

We celebrate your birthday though it brings tears anew.

We’d give almost anything to spend this day with you.
