EVANS CITY — The marker that cites the borough as the location of the shooting of the 1969 cult classic horror movie “Night of the Living Dead” will be dedicated at 4 p.m. Friday at the library.

The dedication will kick off the borough's HalloWeekends, which will have Halloween-themed events take place on each weekend in October. The dedication will precede the start of the Living Dead Weekend, which is the first HalloWeekends event.

SAXONBURG — The Saxonburg Volunteer Fire Company Ambulance Division is conducting its annual subscription campaign for 2015-2016. Subscription fees are due by Oct. 15.The ambulance service recently mailed letters to residents in its service area of Saxonburg and Jefferson, Clinton, Winfield and Buffalo townships.Residents who did not receive a letter can contact the fire company secretary at 724-352-3300.

Information about earning a Masters of Business Administration degree will be presented at three sessions at the Regional Learning Alliance in Cranberry Woods.Pennsylvania State will host sessions at 6 p.m. Oct. 13, Oct. 19, and Oct. 27. Curriculum, course content, credit exemptions, application requirements, financial aid resources and GMAT preparation will be discussed.Penn State Behrend offers a flex MBA program using a hybrid of online learning and classroom instruction at the learning alliance. The degree can be completed in nine semesters.
