Robert Piroth

Robert James Piroth, 82, of Jackson Township passed away Friday at ManorCare in Pittsburgh.

Born on Jan. 14, 1933, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late William H. Piroth Sr. and Marie A. Weber Piroth.

Bob proudly served our country in the U.S. Navy from 1952 to 1956 and in the Marine Corps from 1964 to 1967, where he sustained injury during combat in Vietnam and was awarded a Purple Heart.

Bob worked as a lot attendant at Baierl Ford in Zelienople, Shultz Ford in Wexford and at Walmart.

In his free time, he enjoyed watching wrestling. He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.

Bob leaves behind to cherish his memory, his son, David W. Piroth and his wife, Reneé, of Jackson Township; his five grandchildren, Zachary Jacob, Nicole Piroth, Corey Peters, and Austin and Dawn Piroth; and his several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ida May Carothers Piroth; his daughter, Dawn Piroth; his great-granddaughter, Raelynn Piroth; his four sisters, Leona Kenny, Stella Bock, Marie Bock and Violet Tontola; and his three brothers, William H. Piroth Jr., Harvey Piroth and Roy Piroth.

Piroth— The Piroth family will receive friends of Robert James Piroth, who passed away Friday, Jan. 23, 2015, from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. until the time of a funeral service with military honors at 8 p.m. Tuesday at theGlenn-Kildoo Funeral Home, 130 Wisconsin Ave., Cranberry Township, with the Rev.
