Adams Sheetz liquor license hearing date set

ADAMS TWP — Supervisors set a date for a future liquor license public hearing for a planned Sheetz gas station at the southeast corner of the intersection of Three Degree Road and Route 228 across from Mars Area High School.

The hearing will begin at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 8, before the board’s regular meeting. The pre-agenda meeting will be held from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. The regular board meeting will be follow the liquor license hearing.

The Sheetz plan was previously approved at a meeting in November of 2021.

Township supervisors also accepted paving bids for the 2022 summer paving season at the meeting.

The board approved the bid from Shields Asphalt Paving at a cost of $433,129.

Paving will take place over the summer on Adams Ridge Boulevard, Hespenhide Road, Adams Point Boulevard, Kaufman Run Boulevard, Scharberry Lane, East Street and Reservoir Road.

The board also discussed plans to add the pavement of Fetzer Road at a later date.
