BUTLER COMMAND — U.S. Navy Admiral Jonathan Greenert, vice chief of Naval Operations, shakes hands with fellow Butler native, U.S. Navy Lt. Michelle Scholl, Combined Joint Task Force Horn of Africa staff secretary, during a visit to Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti. During his visit, Greenert led a Navy all-hands call, toured the camp and visited with senior leadership.

Brittany Shankle graduated from basic training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.She is the daughter of Omer and Billie Shankle of Fenelton and granddaughter of Bertha Shankle of Kittanning.Shankle is a 2009 graduate of Butler High School.———

Brittni Kennedy, daughter of Gordon Kennedy and Sherrie Kennedy, both of Butler, recently enlisted in the Army Reserves Delayed Entry Program and is scheduled to begin basic training in May.She is a junior at Butler High School.———Marine Corps Pfc.
