Butler Rib, Music Fest cooks a mean lineup

Get ready to pig out this weekend and squeal for more at the Butler Rib and Music Fest.

The third consecutive food and tunes gathering at the Butler Farm Show grounds, 625 Evans City Road, Connoquenessing Township, will feature local bands and even a Kid’s Zone from Friday to Monday evening.

According to its website, rib vendors featured on TLC’s “BBQ Pitmasters” will be serving up their best dishes alongside Johnson BBQ, Carolina Rib King, Cowboy BBQ and Off The Bone.

Local bands will play throughout all four days of the event, including ’80s rock bands and tribute bands Steel City Crue, Say Ah, and Yinz and Roses.

The event will also feature a beer tent and a special VIP experience, which includes four days of admission to the festival, free VIP parking and access to the front of the line for rib purchases.

General admission is $7 with $5 for parking; the VIP experience is $20.

The festival runs 4 to 10 p.m. Friday, noon to 10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, and noon to 6 p.m. Monday.
