Police Reports
The following items were collected from various police departments and district courts:
May 17 — George R. Mascio II, 25, of Wexford, was charged with two first-offense misdemeanors for driving under the influence after police said he crashed his vehicle at the intersection of Freedom Road and Connector Street. According to charging documents, Mascio showed signs of impairment during field sobriety tests. Following a blood test, Mascio’s blood-alcohol content level was 0.235%. In Pennsylvania, the legal limit is 0.08%.
May 16 — Clark E. Weber, 63, of Saxonburg, was charged with felony retail theft after police said he attempted to leave Giant Eagle with almost $280 in merchandise without paying.
May 16 — Alex J. Edinger, 39, of Slippery Rock, was charged with felony retail theft and misdemeanor resisting arrest after police said he left Giant Eagle with more than $1,500 in merchandise without paying, fled police when confronted, and would not surrender when in custody of law enforcement.
May 17 — Connor J. Thorne, 23, of Grove City, was charged with misdemeanors use and possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana after police said containers of THC wax were found in his vehicle during a traffic stop on Henricks Road in Center Township.
May 16 — Jonathan M. Tacey, 24, of Parker, was charged with misdemeanors eluding an officer and use and possession of drug paraphernalia and several traffic citations after police said he failed to stop for a traffic stop and fled into the woods on foot upon reaching his residence followed by the officer. According to charging documents, Tacey’s vehicle needed legal inspection, and 79 empty heroin stamp bags were found during a search.
May 16 — Bradley J. Huff, 30, of Eau Claire, was charged with three misdemeanor DUIs after police said he showed signs of impairment during field sobriety tests conducted at Oneida Valley Road in Cherry Valley. Following a blood test, Huff had traces of methamphetamine in his system.
May 16 — Richard A. Hughes, 35, of Eau Claire, was charged with three misdemeanor DUIs, misdemeanors use and possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana and unauthorized use of motor vehicles after police said he crashed his vehicle on West Eldorado Road in Parker Township. According to charging documents, Hughes was driving with a suspended license. During a vehicle search, a grinder, smoking pipe and small amount of marijuana was found. Following a later blood test, Hughes’ blood-alcohol content was 0.21%. In Pennsylvania, the legal limit is 0.08%.
May 16 — Crystal M. Cicatella, 42, of Butler, was charged with three misdemeanors driving under the influence after police said she showed signs of impairment during field sobriety tests conducted at an East Brady borough residence. Following a blood test, Cicatella’s blood-alcohol content level was 0.09%. In Pennsylvania, the legal limit is 0.08%.
May 12 — Mark A. McNamee, 41, of Zelienople, was charged with felony strangulation, misdemeanors simple assault and terroristic threats, and a summary charge of harassment after police said he placed his hands on his wife’s neck when shoving her to the ground during an altercation in Muddy Creek Township.
May 15 — David A. Clark, 31, of Kittanning, was charged with felony strangulation, misdemeanor simple assault and a summary charge of harassment after police said Clark grabbed someone by the neck, shoved them against a counter during an altercation in Clearfield Township.
