Helen P. Myers, 85, of Westfield Road, East Liverpool, Ohio, died Saturday at the Beaver Medical Center in Pennsylvania following a brief illness.

She was born in Reidsburg, Clarion County, April 28, 1924, a daughter of the late Francis Varner and Minnie (Best) Varner.

She was a graduate of Clarion High School and moved to the East Liverpool area in 1968.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Glenmoor Presbyterian Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ashley E. Myers, whom she married June 4, 1942.

Mrs. Myers is survived by four sons, Jerry L. Myers, Rogers K. Myers and his wife, Joyce A., Terry B. Myers and his wife, Cassie, and Randy J. Myers and his wife, Kitty E., all of Glenmoor, Ohio; one sister, Mrs. Richard (Kathryn) McCleary of Clarion; nine grandchildren, Ava Myers, Adrienne Hall, Lisa Christopher, Holly Jackson, Mike Myers, Dana Morris, Justin Myers, Zachary Myers and Lucas Myers; and 16 great-grandchildren.
