Maureen Lutz

Maureen Koch Lutz, 62, of Zelienople passed away Friday at UPMC Passavant Hospital in McCandless Township.

Born Nov. 16, 1949, in Butler, she was the beloved daughter of Alice (Chahine) Koch of Butler and the late John M. Koch Sr.

Maureen was a member of St. Gregory Catholic Church in Zelienople.

She was the founder, former president and publisher of the North Hills Monthly Magazine. She was a former president and board member of the North Hills Chamber of Commerce, a former Rich-Mar Rotarian and was a Paul Harris Fellow through the Zelienople Rotary. In addition, she was a past director of the Northwood Realty Marketing Department and a former president and board member of the Connoquenessing Community Chest.

Her memory will be carried on with love by her adoring husband of 35 years, Carl “Craig” Lutz, who she married on Oct. 2, 1976; her daughter, Tracy Tobin and her husband, James, of Ohio; her grandson, John Paul Tobin of Ohio; her brother, John M. Koch Jr. and his wife, Laverne, of West Deer Township; her sister, Michelle “Shelly” Harbison of East Butler; her mother-in-law, May K. Lutz of Zelienople; six nephews, Matthew Hill, Eric Hill, Shane McCoy, Michael P. Koch Jr., John Koch and Benjamin Koch; two nieces, Margo Schall and Heather Koch; and 10 grandnieces and grandnephews.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Patrick Koch Sr.

LUTZ — Maureen Koch Lutz passed away on Friday, June 8, 2012. Maureen's family will welcome friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Gregory Catholic Church, 2 W. Beaver St., Zelienople, with Father Larry Smith and the Rev. James R. Bertoti co-officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Zelienople Community Mausoleum.Memorial contributions may be made in her honor in support of the American Cancer Society, 320 Bilmar Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15205.Online condolences and directions are available at www.boylanfuneralhome.com.
