Police Reports
The following items were collected from various police departments and district courts:
May 23 — Joseph F. Reich, 45, of Wexford, was charged with felony driving under the influence and misdemeanor DUI after police said he showed signs of impairment during a field sobriety test conducted on Pittsburgh Road in Butler Township. Following a blood test, Reich’s blood-alcohol content level was 0.186%. In Pennsylvania, the legal limit is 0.08%.
May 23 — Randall A. Peevey, 44, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanors theft and receiving stolen property after police said he received a gift card for more than $200 for returning a chain saw that he had picked up in Walmart without paying for.
May 23 — Joshua J. Space, 29, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanor operating a vehicle without ignition lock after police said he caused a vehicle accident on Route 8. According to charging documents, Space has an ignition interlock license but operated a vehicle without ignition interlock during the crash.
May 21 — William Baird, 72, of Sarver, was charged with a traffic violation for failing to stop at a stop sign after police said he did not stop at an intersection on Greenwood Drive.
May 21 — Terry Walters, 61, of Butler, drove across a field on Midway Lane from Fairfield Lane and struck a tree. According to a news release, Walters suffered injuries and was flown to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh. The crash remains under investigation.
May 19 — Justin E. Tatsch, 33, of Beaver Falls, was charged with misdemeanor statement under penalty after police said he was denied the purchase of a firearm at a Field and Stream store. According to charging documents, Tatsch said he had no previous crimes. It was discovered he had an active warrant in Ohio.
May 19 — Brian J. Miller, 33, of Slippery Rock, was charged with misdemeanor third offense of driving with a suspended license after police said was observed driving a vehicle on Marshall Road.
May 23 — Leandre Coats, 22, of Cleveland, was charged with misdemeanors trespassing, disorderly conduct and false identification to a police officer after police said he had an order to not trespass at the Aebersold Student Recreation Center, lied about his identity to an officer and resisted commands from an officer.
May 25 — Alex J. Edinger, 39, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanors resisting arrest, simple assault, terroristic threats, disorderly conduct and criminal mischief after police said they responded to a domestic dispute in West Liberty Borough. Edinger threatened to kill someone, pushed them, broke items in their home and waved a rifle, police said. According to charging documents, Edinger hid from police and refused to comply during arrest.
May 23 — Timothy J. Hindman, 63, of Boyers, was charged with misdemeanor accident involving damage to an attended vehicle after police said Hindman rear-ended a vehicle at the intersection of Route 8 and Franklin Road in Slippery Rock Township then drove away.
