State police seek suspect in store robbery
CENTER TWP — State police are seeking an unknown robber who reportedly made off with money and cigarettes from the Kwik Fill-Red Apple convenience store on Route 8 at Mercer Road early Sunday morning.
The suspect, according to a police news release, is described as a white male, about 5 feet, 8 inches tall and 150 pounds.
Police said he walked into the store about 4:20 a.m. and demanded money and cigarettes. He left with about $145 and three packs of cigarettes, police said.
The suspect was wearing a black hooded sweat shirt and a bandanna that partially covered his face.
No one was reported injured.
