Eugene Bonetti
Eugene C. Bonetti, 95, of Butler, passed away Monday, June 6, 2022, at Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born Nov. 16, 1926, in Boyers, and was the son of the late James Bonetti and Carmella “Minnie” (Diana) Bonetti.
Eugene was a veteran of the U.S. Marines having served during World War II.
He worked in maintenance at Pangborn Abrasives in Butler.
He was a member of the Boyers Sportsmen’s Club.
Eugene was an avid hunter, fisherman and gardener.
Surviving are his five daughters, Deborah Bier of Renfrew, Barbara (Michael) Acquavita of Butler, Pamela (Thomas) Kaylor of Butler, Kimberly (Richard) Moore of West Sunbury, and Cheryl (Richard) Schomburger of Lake Prior, Minn.; 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; a brother, James (Margie) Bonetti of Boyers; two sisters, Virginia Hockenberry of Harrisville, and Carmella (Robert) Critchlow of Butler; three sisters-in- law, Doran Bonetti, Joanne Bonetti and Margaret “Peggy” Cook; and a number of nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Virginia (Cook) Bonetti, who passed away on Nov. 9, 2016; seven brothers; and a son-in-law, James Bier.
BONETTI — Friends of Eugene C. Bonetti, who died Monday, June 6, 2022, will be received from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the blessing service at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler.
Military honors will follow the service.
Burial will be private.
