Karns City man dies in car-truck crash
WYSOX TWP, Bradford County — A Karns City man was killed Friday morning when his car collided with a cattle truck near Towanda in northeastern Pennsylvania.
Nathen L. Dailey, 25, was pronounced dead at the scene by Bradford County Coroner Thomas Carman.
State police are investigating the 11 a.m. crash but did not immediately know what caused Dailey to lose control of his 2002 Oldsmobile Alero
Dailey's family believes he fell asleep while driving home from work. Dailey worked for a gas well drilling company and was at a work site in Bradford County.
A co-worker who was riding in the car was seriously injured. That man, who police did not identify, was flown by medical helicopter to a hospital in Sayre.
The truck driver was not injured.
Dailey's father, Phillip E. Dailey of Fenelton, said this morning that he suspected his son dozed off after a typically long day at work.
Dailey had worked for Chesapeake Energy-owned Nomac Drilling for about seven years.
Dailey, who attended Butler High School, is survived by a fiance and their 3-month-old daughter. The couple planned to marry next year, Dailey's father said.
