Hot weather coming Wednesday
A heat advisory goes into affect Wednesday morning with high temperatures expected to remain until Saturday.
The National Weather Service of Pittsburgh placed Butler County in a heat advisory from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
The service’s advisory warns that hot temperatures and high humidity may elevate concerns of heat-related illnesses.
“Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors,” the advisory said. ”Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.”
According to the forecast, temperatures could reach as high as 102 F heading into tonight, when there is a chance of thunderstorms.
Temperatures are expected to remain warm the next two days with forecast highs of 90 F on Thursday and 80 F on Friday. The high for Saturday is expected to be 70 F.
