Martha Jane Bowser

Martha Jane Bowser, 98, of Butler, formerly of Kittanning, fell asleep on Earth and woke in the arms of Jesus on Monday at the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Butler.

She was born April 9, 1917, in South Buffalo Township, Armstrong County, the daughter of James R. McIntyre Sr. and Bessie (Beale) McIntyre.

She is survived by her daughter, Peggy Ann Rush of Butler; grandchildren, William Rush IV and his wife, Denise, of Ohio and Lisa Koreen of Kittanning; six great-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; one nephew; two nieces; seven great-nieces and great-nephews; and two great-grandnieces.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Woodrow R. Bowser; her infant daughter, Sally Jane Bowser; and her brothers, James R. McIntyre Jr. and Paul B. McIntyre.

BOWSER — Relatives and friends of Martha Jane Bowser, who died Monday, Jan. 25, 2016, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Bauer Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Kittanning.Additional visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Center Hill Church of the Brethren in Kittanning.
