Harold E. Dufford

Harold E. “Duff” Dufford, 62, of Callery died Sunday at UPMC Passavant-Cranberry.

Born Jan. 3, 1949, in Butler, he was the son of the late Clarence and Monica (Zarnich) Dufford.

Duff loved to go fishing in Erie and was known as Captain Peg Leg by all of his friends.

He is survived by his wife, Claudette of Callery; his siblings, Bertha Dufford of Evans City, Clarence Dufford of Ellwood City, Anna Slagle of Callery, Rose McCoy of Portersville, Martin Dufford of Butler and Betty Smith of Renfrew; two stepdaughters, Sandy Scheller and her husband, Rick, and Claudia Ripper and her husband, Bob; and a stepson, Ron Brueckman. Also surviving are grandsons Wade and Dean Brueckman, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Doris Fair, and two brothers, George and Robert Dufford.
