Charlotte Leodra 'Dode' Stalker
Charlotte Leodra "Dode" Stalker, 92, of Sandy Lake Township, Mercer County, formerly of Eau Claire, went home to be with her Lord and Savior at 11:50 a.m. Monday at the home of her daughter after a brief illness.
Born Aug. 13, 1914, in Eau Claire, she was the daughter of George W. and Carrie Y. Polm Gibson.
She was a 1933 graduate of Concord High School.
She was an active member of the Sandy Lake Wesleyan Church.
Mrs. Stalker was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, baking and growing flowers. She loved to quilt and made quilts for all of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of the AMT Homemakers Club of Butler County.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Floyd L. (Donna Faye) Tingley, with whom she made her home; Linda Minteer of Butler and Mrs. David W. (Jane) Campbell of Stoneboro; 10 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Homer Glenn Stalker, whom she married July 28, 1932, died March 31, 1991. She also was preceded in death by an infant son, Donald Glenn Stalker; three sisters, and a brother.
<B>STALKER </B>— Friends of Charlotte Leodra "Dode" Stalker, who died Monday, July 16, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Sandy Lake Wesleyan Church, 3096 Sandy Lake-Grove City Road, Sandy Lake. Funeral and committal services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church. Burial will be at the Oak Hill Cemetery, Sandy Lake Township.Memorial donations may be made to the Lakeview Area Helping Hands, P.O.
