Allegheny Technologies schedules move to Texas
Allegheny Technologies, now called ATI Metals, plans to move its headquarters operations into executive offices to Dallas Texas from Pittsburgh.
CEO Stefani Pashman of the Allegheny Conference on Community Development said she was “disappointed“ with ATI’s move to Texas in a statement released on June 22.
Pashman explained the company will maintain significant manufacturing operations in southwestern Pennsylvania to focus on what’s next in metals and the jobs that support advanced manufacturing.
“In light of this news, it is more imperative than ever that Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf and the legislative body of the Commonwealth focus on creating a more business-friendly climate in Pennsylvania,” Pashman said. “This includes a material cut in Pennsylvania’s Corporate Net Income Tax (CNI), which remains a flashing red light that often deters companies from doing business here.”
