Lillie Jane (Hindman) Kifer
Lillie Jane (Hindman) Kifer, 90, of Jupiter, Fla., formerly of Butler, passed away at 12:10 a.m. Tuesday at the Hospice of Palm Beach County.
She was born on July 24, 1923, in Butler to the late Ira Eugene Hindman and H. Gay (Baldridge) Hindman.
Lillie Jane and her late husband, Raymond, were married for 62 years and had lived in Jupiter, Fla. since 2003. She attended the Faith Fellowship Alliance Church in Butler for many years. Lillie Jane worked for Duco Ceramics and was a seamstress at Hutchinson’s Cleaners.
Mrs. Kifer is survived by her two sons, David Kifer of East Palestine, Ohio, and Thomas Kifer of Butler; her daughter, Esther Street and her husband, Barry, of Jupiter, Fla.; her three grandchildren, Benjamin Street, Rachel Mars and Jonathan Street, all of Florida; her two great-grandchildren; her two sisters, Dorothy Lassinger of Catawba, N.C., and Susan Nance of Zephyrhills, Fla.; and her brother, Ira Hindman Jr. of Wellsboro, Pa.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond C. Kifer, who she married on June 26, 1946, and who passed away on Jan. 19, 2009; her brother; and four sisters.
KIFER — The friends of Lillie Jane (Hindman) Kifer, who passed away Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2014, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.An additional visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday at the Faith Fellowship Alliance Church, 200 Faith Way-Fared Drive, Butler, with funeral services immediately following at 2 p.m. with Pastor Richard Jenks officiating.Burial will take place in Mount Chestnut Cemetery.Online condolences can be given at www.thompson-miller.com.
