William Miller Jr.
William Miller Jr., 80, a lifelong Grove City resident, of 67 Gill Road, Grove City, Pine Township, since 1961, died unexpectedly at 2:40 a.m. Monday at Grove City Medical Center.
Born Feb. 12, 1929, in Grove City, he was the son of Julia Basham Miller and the late William Miller Sr.
He married Marcella Faye Conway on Dec. 5, 1949, and was married for 59 years. His wife survives him.
He was an active member of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Grove City. He retired from Operating Engineers, Pittsburgh. He was owner and operator of William Miller and Sons Trucking, Auto Wrecking and Scrapyard.
He enjoyed traveling, camping and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by six sons, Donald Miller and his wife, Judy, of Grove City, William Miller III and his wife, Darlene, of Panorama City, Calif., Eugene Miller, David Miller, Robert Miller and his wife, Jeanne, and Jeffrey Miller, all Grove City; three daughters, Sue Lee of Grove City, Mary Jane Miller of Davenport, Fla., and Janice Miller of Meadville; his mother of Grove City; three sisters, Marian Whiteside and her husband, Fred, of Greenville, Frances Miller-Fisher of Columbus and Florence Snider and her husband, Chuck, of Grove City; four brothers, Paul Miller of Youngstown, Ohio, Richard Miller of Buffalo, N.Y., Ronald Miller and his wife, Rhonda, of Virginia, and Larry Miller and his wife, Shirley, of Buffalo, N.Y.; 21 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father; his stepfather, Paul Miller; an infant son; two sisters, Pauline Jordan and Katherine Graham; and two grandsons, Justin Miller and infant Timothy.
<B>MILLER</B> — Funeral services for William Miller Jr., who died Monday, March 16, 2009, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 663 Barkeyville Road, Grove City, with the Rev. Solomon Armstead, pastor of the church, officiating.Visitation hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at <B>Cunningham Funeral Home</B>, 306 Bessemer Ave., Grove City. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Grove City.
