Irvin H. Pflug

Irvin H. Pflug, 91, of Evans City died Wednesday at UPMC Passavant hospital, McCandless Township.

Born Nov. 5, 1914, in Fombell, he was the son of Edwin A. and Lillie Scott Pflug.

Mr. Pflug attended the Old Furnace School, a one-room schoolhouse in Fombell, and Zelienople High School.

He retired from Ellwood Forge and had been a building inspector for Evans City. He enjoyed woodworking and gardening

He was a member of St. Peter's Reformed Church of Zelienople.

Surviving are two daughters, Shirley J. Iman and her husband, Donald, of Mars and Phyllis J. Marshall and her husband, Robert, of Valencia; three stepdaughters, Grace Hoff of New Orleans, La., Betty Riehl of Milton, Northumberland County, and Judith Belles of Zelienople; and special friend Lillian Cosky of Fombell. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren, 16 step-grandchildren and 17 step-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Edna Burr Pflug; his second wife, Etta Mae Lutz-Pflug; a son, Kenneth Pflug; a brother, Howard Pflug; a sister, Grace Stauffer; a grandson, Robert Coulter Jr.; a stepdaughter, Shirley Turley; and a step-granddaughter, Cindy Good.

PFLUG — Friends of Irvin H. Pflug, who died Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2005, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter's Reformed Church, Zelienople, with the Rev. James Bertoti officiating. Burial will be at Evans City Cemetery.Memorial donations may be made to St. Peter's Reformed Church, 314-320 E.
