Butler Fair popular in the early-1970s

On the same day the crew of the Apollo 15 dealt with broken glass and a brief voltage drop on their journey to the Moon, the crew of the Butler Fair buggies were having a much better time only a few miles from home.
The Butler Fair offered visitors many activities in July 1971, including a 4-H horse and pony show, harness racing and an exhibition by the Kochman Hell Drivers.
The July 27, 1971 Butler Eagle reported that those who visited the fair spent the majority of their time walking around the carnival site and enjoying the many food items available in the long midway stretch of trailers between the entrance and the grandstand.
