Motorcyclist injured in 2-vehicle crash
A man driving a motorcycle was injured after colliding with a car Tuesday in Worth Township, state police said.
Justin N. Powell, 38, of Slippery Rock was driving east on New Castle Road at 7 p.m. when his Harley-Davidson motorcycle collided with a car driven by Megan C. Snyder, 22, of Slippery Rock, who was traveling west and trying to turn left into an apartment building lot, police said.
Powell was thrown from his bike and possibly sustained a serious head injury, and was flown by medical helicopter to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh, police said.
Snyder was not injured. Both vehicles were disabled from the crash, police said.
The Slippery Rock Volunteer Fire Department also responded. Crews remained at the scene until about 10:20 p.m.
