Police Reports

The following items have been collected from various police departments and district courts:

State Police, Butler

June 22 — Kody R. Craig, 33, of Butler, was charged with two misdemeanors for driving under the influence after police said they stopped him June 18 on Route 422 at the Chicora exit, Summit Township. Police said field sobriety tests showed he was impaired, and a later blood test showed Craig’s blood-alcohol level was .098%. In Pennsylvania, the legal limit is .08%.

June 22 — Tyler A. Albright, 30, of Butler, was charged with two misdemeanor DUIs and two misdemeanors for possessing drug paraphernalia after police said they stopped him May 25 on Bonniebrook Road, Summit Township. Police said field sobriety tests showed he was impaired, and a later blood test showed traces of THC in Albright’s blood. Police said a small amount of marijuana and THC vape pen were in Albright’s vehicle during the stop.

June 22 — Chad A. Geibel, 44, of West Sunbury, was charged with two misdemeanor DUIs after police said they stopped him June 5 on Hooker Road, Clay Township. Police said field sobriety tests showed he was impaired, and a later breath test showed Geibel’s blood-alcohol content at .225%. In Pennsylvania, the legal limit is .08%.

June 22 — Jamie J. Melish, 42, of East Butler, was charged with a misdemeanor DUI after police said they stopped him April 30 on Route 422, Summit Township. Police said field sobriety tests showed he was impaired, and Melish told police he had taken suboxone pill with alcohol that day.

June 16 — Stanley T. Smith, 63, of Butler, was charged with two misdemeanor DUIs after police said they stopped him May 30 on Route 422, Summit Township. Police said field sobriety tests showed he was impaired, and a later blood test showed Smith’s blood had traces of Benzoylegonine, cocaine and fentanyl.

June 15 — David F. Brown, 50, of Wexford, was charged with three misdemeanor DUIs after police said they stopped him May 30 on Route 422, Muddy Creek Township. Police said field sobriety tests showed he was impaired, and a later blood test showed Brown’s blood-alcohol level at .235%. In Pennsylvania, the legal limit is .08%.

June 14 — A father and son were charged with felonies after one attempted to help the other flee police.

Kasaunte O. Woodruff, 19, of Birmingham, Ala., was charged with felony fleeing police, and misdemeanors for resisting arrest and possessing drugs after police said he fled during a traffic stop on June 14 at the intersection of South Cliff Street and Center Avenue, Butler City. Police said he was chased to a residence on South Monroe Street, where was eventually taken into custody. A bag of suspected crack was found on his person when he was arrested, according to police.

Emmett M. Woodruff, 61, of Butler, was charged with two felony counts for hindering criminal apprehension after police said he stalled officers when they spoke with him about Kasaunte being in the house.

June 9 — Timothy S. Blakley, 55, of Butler, was charged with three misdemeanor DUIs and a misdemeanor for possessing marijuana after police said they stopped him Jan. 7 on South Benbrook Road, Center Township. Police said field sobriety tests showed he was impaired, and a later blood test showed Blakley’s blood had traces of THC and clonazepam. Police said they also found a small amount of marijuana in his pocket during the traffic stop.
