Young said Rebello was in Butler on vacation with his family, and that the cause of death was accidental drowning.

Butler County’s water rescue team and members of Unionville Fire Department recovered Rebello after he disappeared underwater near the Lakeview Beach area at the park’s North Shore around 4:30 p.m. Friday.

According to Dustin Drew, park manager, Rebello lost his footing and fell into a 16-foot drop-off in the water after trying to retrieve an object.

Crews found Rebello around 6 p.m. A second person pulled from the water during the incident was taken to a hospital for evaluation by Portersville Muddy Creek EMS.
