Warren G. Gumpp

Warren G. Gumpp of Kathleen Drive, New Castle, passed away at 7:05 p.m. Saturday in the Grove City Medical Center. He was 62.

He was born Sept. 22, 1949, in Grove City, a son of Gene C. and Ruth L. Carnahan Gumpp, and he was a lifelong area resident.

He was employed as a heavy equipment operator for Quality Aggregates in Boyers, where he worked for 15 years. He was a member of the Unity Baptist Church in Harlinsburg. Warren enjoyed working on cars, working with his hands and fixing just about anything. He truly was a jack of all trades.

He is survived by his wife, the former Linda P. Freeman, who he married Aug. 31, 1968. He also leaves behind a son, Warren G. Gumpp Jr. and his wife, Lora, of Elwood City; a daughter, Kimberly A. Rugh and her husband, Thomas, of Eau Claire; three brothers, Clyde Gumpp and his wife, Betty, of New Castle, Lee Gumpp of Butler and Kevin Gumpp of New Castle; four sisters, Carol Byers and her husband, Ron, of Portersville, Julie Crooks and her husband, Scott, of Karns City, Norma Johnson and her husband, Harold, of Sharpsville and Karen Little and her husband, Bob, of Fredonia; and five grandchildren, Gabrielle Rugh, Thomas Rugh, Anna Gumpp, Bailey Rugh and Daniel Gumpp.

Warren was preceded in death by his parents.

GUMPP — Memorial services for Warren G. Gumpp, who passed away Saturday, May 26, 2012, will be at 5 p.m. today at the Unity Baptist Church, 304 Old Route 19, New Castle, with Pastor Zachary Dudenhofer officiating.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be to the J.
