John 'Terry' Laskey
John T. “Terry” Laskey, 53, of West Sunbury passed away at 12:25 a.m. Saturday at his home.
Born April 12, 1957, in Natrona Heights, he is the son of Wilma Cummings Laskey and the late Louis L. Laskey Sr.
Mr. Laskey was a graduate of Knoch High School, and he attended Northwestern University and Edinboro University.
He was a certified prosthetist and owned Precision Artificial Limb & Brace. After his retirement, he worked as an independent contractor.
He was a member of the Springdale Lutheran Church. He also was a member of the Victory Lodge 694 F&AM, the Loyal Order of the Moose and the Pennsylvania Chapter of the American Academy of Orthotists & Prosthetists.
John bowled in the Pin Pals and the Strikes and Spares bowling leagues. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling and spending time with his grandchildren.
Mr. Laskey is survived by his wife, Cathy L. Johnson Laskey, who he married Aug. 11, 1978; his mother, Wilma Laskey; one son and his wife, John and Kim Laskey of Butler; one daughter and her husband, Julie and Larry Grenet of Gibsonia; three grandchildren, Bryce and Sydney Grenet and Breckin Laskey; three brothers, William Cummings of Cochranton, Louis Laskey Jr. of Slippery Rock and Richard Laskey of Clarion; three sisters, Cheryl Laskey of California, Marietta Laskey-Shearn of Turkey City and Suzanne Camarigg of Parker; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Laskey was preceded in death by his father; one brother, Kenneth Laskey; and one sister, Lucinda Laskey.
<B>LASKEY </B>— A memorial service for John T. “Terry” Laskey, who died Saturday, Feb. 19, 2011, will be at the Springdale Lutheran Church, 1061 Mahood Road, West Sunbury, Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. with the Rev. Karl Schoch, of Springdale Lutheran Church, officiating.
