Chicago truck driver convicted, awaiting sentencing for offenses related to Butler County girl
A Chicago truck driver could face 15 years to life after he was found guilty of sexual offenses related to a Butler County girl.
A federal jury in Pittsburgh found Roderick King, 32, guilty on one count of felony sex trafficking of a minor and two counts of producing material showing sexual exploitation of a minor.
According to prosecutors, in 2017, King began paying a 14-year-old Butler County girl to have sex with him, and this happened about 10 times over a two-year span.
The victim, described in court documents as Jane Doe, testified at trial. She initiated the case by speaking with Butler Township Police in 2020.
Prosecutors also used a combination of messages between King and the victim, as well as videos depicting at least two sexual encounters.
A sentencing date has yet to be set.
