Maxine C. McCall
Maxine C. McCall, 76, of Butler died at 10 p.m. Wednesday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
She was born Feb. 17, 1932, in Butler, the daughter of the late William Howard White and the late Ruth Naomi (Robinson) White.
She was a member of the Safety Board Committee and the Dunbar Community Center and was a crossing guard from 1973 to the present at Broad and Brady streets and Center Avenue. She received the Hannah Miller Award in 1994.
She was a matron for the Meridian Woodpeckers. She also enjoyed cooking, baking, crossword puzzles and doing latch hook.
Surviving are two daughters, Adell McCall of Canonsburg and Patricia McCall-Bodden of Butler; a son, John McCall Jr. of Slippery Rock; three grandchildren, Jordan Bodden of Butler, Macy McCall of Slippery Rock and Marcus McCall of Slippery Rock; three sisters, Mrs. Rev. Charles (Doris) Henderson of Butler, Mrs. James (Dorothy) Smith of Butler and Beverly White of Butler; and two brothers, Billy White of California and Richard White of Butler.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John C. McCall Sr., who died Aug. 5, 2001; two brothers; and a sister.

McCall, who died Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2008, will be received Monday from 11 a.m. until the service at 2 p.m. at the <B>Young Funeral Home Ltd.</B>, Butler, with her brother-in-law, the Rev.
