Norman H. "Pete" Edwards, 76, of Mars died Friday morning at LAS St. John Specialty Care Center in Mars.

Born in Dorseyville, Indiana Township, Allegheny County, on Feb. 20, 1934, he was the son of Ray and Lena Marie Cricks Edwards.

He was a machinist for Herr-Voss Corp. in Callery.

Pete was a member of the Mars United Presbyterian Church, the John E. Mair Lodge 729 F&AM and the Harmony Moose, and he was a social member of the Mars VFW Post 7505.

Surviving are his wife, J. Marlene McDonald Edwards, whom he married June 27, 1953; two daughters, LuAnn Housekeeper and her husband, Ray, of Bruin and Kelly Frank, and her husband, Ron, of Lilburn, Ga.; a son, Craig Edwards and his wife, Diane, of Valencia; a brother, James Edwards and his wife, Pat, in California; two sisters, Shirley Kress and Virginia Mahan, both in Gibsonia; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

<B>EDWARDS </B>— Friends of Norman H. "Pete" Edwards, who died Friday, April 2, 2010, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the <B>McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home</B>, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Nathan Esser, pastor of the Mars United Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Lakewood Memorial Gardens, Indiana Township.Memorials may be made to the church.
