Butler County Farm Showgrounds holds second annual Butler Bikes & BBQ

The second annual Butler Bikes & BBQ commences 11 a.m. Friday at Butler County Farm Show Grounds, 625 Evans City Road, Connoquenessing Township.

Motorcycle riders and enthusiasts of all ages can partake in the festivities from Friday to Sunday. The event is presented by Butler County Tourism & Convention Bureau.

The event opens with a kickoff ride through downtown Butler. Participants will meet at 5 p.m. Friday at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 420 N. Main St., travel through the city and end at the farm show Grounds.

Local music artists perform free at the auditorium pavilion for free all weekend.

The schedule includes Moonshine Jasmine, 2 p.m., The Redlines, 4 p.m., Lucky Me, 6 p.m., and Sourmash, 8 p.m. Friday; Rustic Revelation, 11 a.m., Doppler Affect, 12:45 p.m. and Stone Cold Killer, 2:30 p.m. Saturday; and The Shiners, noon, Tina Daniels Band, 1:45 p.m., and Black Ridge, 3:30pm Sunday.

Lita Ford headlines the main stage at 8:30 p.m. Saturday on the grandstand. Tickets for the performance are $15 online in advance or $20 at the gate.

Vendors food and beverages and motorcycle dealerships, parts and services, biker accessories, motorcycle nonprofits and community businesses and services also will be available to visitors.

Featured sponsors for the event include Pitt Cycles, New Castle Harley-Davidson, First Bike Motorsports and Alliance of Bikers Aimed Toward Education among others. These sponsors will hold showcases and demonstrations throughout the weekend.

General admission and parking for motorcycles are free. Parking for other vehicles is $5. Donations will be accepted at the kickoff ride and throughout the event to benefit Butler County Veterans in Need. Contact 724-234-4619 or visit butlerbikesbbq.com for a complete schedule.
