Mary Jeanette Cottage

Mary Jeanette Cottage, 81, of Butler died early Sunday at the Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born May 25, 1924, in Conway, she was a daughter of John D. and Grace Rose Holman.

She was a 1941 graduate of Sewickley High School.

Mrs. Cottage was a retired seamstress and had worked at Bobbie Brooks for more than 20 years until the company closed.

She was a member of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church.

Her husband, Frank G. Cottage, whom she married May 9, 1944, survives. Also surviving are a son and his wife, Ronald W. and Lorraine Cottage of Butler; a daughter and her husband, Sandra L. and Earl R. Osche of Butler; and a brother and his wife, J. David and Kay Holman of Sewickley.

She also is survived by eight grandchildren: Dale, Jeffrey, Brian and Jason Cottage, Stephanie Smith, Eric and Brian Osche and Melissa Washburn; and 12 great-grandchildren: Brad, Emily, Nick, Heather and Jordan Cottage, Melissa Koehler, Jacob, Alec, Courtney and Trevor Cottage, Kylie Smith and Leilanni Osche.

Four sisters preceded her in death.

COTTAGE — Friends of Mary Jeanette Cottage, who died Sunday, Feb. 5, 2006, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME, 201 E. Cunningham St. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, Franklin Street. Burial will follow at the Greenlawn Burial Estates, Mount Chestnut.The Women's Council of St. Peter Parish will recite the rosary at 9:40 a.m. Wednesday at the church.Please visit the funeral home Web site at www.geibelfuneralhome.com.
