Army Reserve Lt. Col.

John Shaw recently participated in an annual training exercise termed "Diamond Saber" at Fort McCoy, Sparta, Wis.The exercise is for financial management units of the Army, active and reserve components, refresh their knowledge and practice the skills needed to perform their mission.Shaw, a financial management director, is assigned to the 398th Financial Management Center, Fort Belvoir, Fairfax, Va. He has 23 years of military service.He is the son of Dave and Jennie Shaw of Slippery Rock.His wife, Ann, is the daughter of Mary Loncaric of Burgettstown.The lieutenant colonel graduated in 1978 from Slippery Rock High School and received a bachelor's degree in 1984 from Slippery Rock University. He earned a master's degree in 2004 from Robert Morris University.
