Linda Rahn

Linda Jean Rahn passed away in her sleep on Thursday evening with members of her family at her side.

Born into the Christian faith on Oct. 30, 1949, she was the first child of Anthony and Wilma Barto Vodenichar.

A 1967 graduate of Freedom High School, she was a homemaker and served as past president of the Freedom Football Mothers. She was a life-member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Big Knob Volunteer Fire Department, a member of Faith Circle and very active at her church, St. John's (Burry's) Church.

Linda was married to Ernest J. Young on July 19, 1969. He passed away in 2000. The good Lord provided her a second husband, William Rahn, on Oct. 2, 2007, with whom to enjoy her remaining days.

Her memory shall be cherished by her three children, Amy (Timothy) Craddock of North Carolina, Stacie (Kevin) Aland of New Sewickley, and Timothy (Carrie) Young, also of New Sewickley.

Linda's pride and joy were her 10 grandchildren, Evan, Jacob, Kara and Sara Aland, Paige and Cooper Young, all of New Sewickley, Michael, Lindsey, Curtis and Adam Craddock, of North Carolina; and two great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are seven siblings, Lonnie (Patty), Ronald (Linda), Rodney (Elaine) and Randy (Karen) Vodenichar, Patricia (James) Scheck, Terry (Robert) Sniady and Sandra (Donald) Sniady.

She was preceded in her heavenly path by her parents; her first husband, Ernie; one brother, Jay; and one infant sister.

RAHN — Visitation for Linda Jean Rahn, who died Thursday, March 22, 2018, will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Monday at Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E.
