Clark E. Gaston

Clark E. Gaston, 76, of Prospect died Thursday morning, at his home.

Born Nov. 7, 1928, in Rossiter, Indiana County, he was the son of Budd and Edith Roush Gaston.

He was a Protestant and a member of the AARP. He served in the Army during peacetime.

Mr. Gaston had been a burner at American Bridge for 30 years. He also worked for the Butler Auto Auction.

Surviving are his wife, Carrie V. Rhodes whom he married Aug. 1, 1951; a son, James R. Gaston of Lynchburg, Va.; three daughters, Mrs. James (Janet) Wolford of Connoquenessing, Mrs. Phyllis Johnston of Saxonburg and Mrs. Donald (Ruth) Whisel of New Castle; two brothers, Quinley Gaston of Niagara Falls, N.Y., and Budd Gaston of Wichita, Kan.; and two sisters, Mrs. Ernest (Yvonne) White of North Tonawanda, N.Y., and Mrs. Joanne Fetterhoff of DuBois. He also is survived by 13 grandchildren and three great-grandsons.

He was preceded in death by a son, a granddaughter, two sisters and two brothers.

GASTON - Friends of Clark E. Gaston, who died Thursday, March 24, 2005, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at A. CARL KINSEY-RONALD N. VOLZ FUNERAL HOME, 114 W. Spring St., Zelienople. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
