Patricia Fitzsimmons
Patricia Ann Fitzsimmons, 78, of Butler passed away at 4:40 a.m. Tuesday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
She was born June 5, 1931, in Mishawaka, Ind., the daughter of the late Frank Lancaster and Eva (Thompson) Lancaster.
Patricia was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
She was a graduate of St. Joseph's Hospital School of Nursing and was a registered nurse in Indiana and Pennsylvania.
She enjoyed gardening, gourmet cooking and grandparenting. She volunteered for Meals on Wheels and had been an active member of the Women's League of Butler.
Surviving are her daughter, Leanne Stepanian of Butler; two sons, Leo M. Stepanian II and his wife, Gwen, of Butler and Joshua L. Stepanian and his wife, Jamie, of Slippery Rock; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. James (Maggielee) Delehanty of South Bend, Ind.; numerous nieces and nephews; and a sister-in-law, Marie Lancaster of South Bend, Ind.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William R. Fitzsimmons M.D., who died July 2, 2007, and a brother.
