Carolyn B. Embroski, 84, of Butler died Tuesday morning at the Good Samaritan Hospice, Concordia Lutheran Ministries, in Cabot.

Born Nov. 3, 1925, in Lyndora, she was a daughter of the late Ignatz and Rose Bonos.

She was a member of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church.

She was a homemaker and a member of the West Butler Reunion Committee.

She had enjoyed baking and making crafts and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, and loved to spend time with her family.

Surviving are three daughters, Joanne Brandon and her husband, Ken, of Butler, Shirley McGee and her husband, Pat, of Butler, and Janet Bastin and her husband, Jeff, of Cabot; grandsons, Sean Brandon and his wife, Melissa, of Sioux City, Iowa, and Eric Brandon and his wife, Tammy, of Auburn, N.Y.; granddaughters, Kari Ann Seese and her husband, Brian, of Butler, Amanda McGee of Butler, Brianne Bowser and her husband, Marc, of Butler, Lindsay Mintz and her husband, Mike, of York, S.C., Audrey Bowser and her husband, Justin, of Butler and Ashley McGee of Woodbridge, Va.; great-grandchildren, Reid Brandon, Shay Brandon, Noah Seese, Jonah Seese, Kylie Bowser and Brandi Lahaie; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph P. Embroski, who died Nov. 25, 1980; four brothers, Eugene Bonos, Frank Bonos, Edward Bonos and John Sebock; and a sister, Nellie Jurysta.

<B>Embroski </B>—<B> </B>Friends of Carolyn B. Embroski, who died Tuesday, April 13, 2010, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, 127 Franklin St., Butler. The Rev. James Dolan, pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow in Butler County Memorial Park.The Women's Council of St. Peter will meet at 9:40 a.m. Friday at the church to recite the rosary.Memorial donations may be made to the Good Samaritan Hospice, Concordia Lutheran Ministries, 134 Marwood Road, Cabot, PA 16023.Information also is available at www.geibelfuneralhome.com.
