Allegheny County man sought on assault and strangulation charges
An Oakmont man is at large after he allegedly strangled and beat his girlfriend at her Adams Township home, stole her mother’s car and fled, according to police.
“Due to her injuries, (the girlfriend) was transported to a region trauma center,” according to an Adams Township Police affidavit.
Austin S. Williams, 28, is charged with felony counts of aggravated assault, strangulation and theft, as well as misdemeanor simple assault related to the alleged incident Sunday. Police were dispatched at 1:19 p.m.
Williams has yet to be arrested, according to court documents. According to police, the vehicle he allegedly fled in was found in Connellsville.
Williams is a white male with brown hair and brown eyes. He is 5’ 11’’ tall and weighs 190 pounds. Anyone who sees or has information regarding Williams’ whereabouts is warned not to approach him and to call 911.
