SRHS grad named queen of YSU's homecoming

Brooke Schaefersof Butler was crowned 2020-21 Homecoming Queen at Youngstown State University on March 20.
Schaefers, a 2017 graduate of Slippery Rock Area High School, is a senior at YSU, majoring in biology with a minor in environmental science. She is the YSU feature twirler and the daughter of Mark and Suzanne Schaefers.
She plans to attend graduate school at the University of Miami Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science to pursue a master’s degree in marine mammal science in the fall.
