Charles C. Jackson

Charles C. Jackson, 85, of Kittanning Pike, Parker, in Allegheny Township, died at 7:25 a.m. Sunday at his home after a long illness.

Born Aug. 15, 1919, at the Jackson homestead in Allegheny Township, he was the son of Warren and May Wolcott Jackson.

He was a World War II Army veteran and worked for Quaker State Refining Corp. for 44 years.

Mr. Jackson was a member of the Emlenton Presbyterian Church and a life member of the Charles A. Black American Legion Post 598 of Parker.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.

Surviving are two sons and their wives, James A. and Janet M. Jackson of DuBois and David L. and Jocelyn M. Jackson of Parker; a daughter, Beverly L. Kriebel of Parker and her companion, Dave McCune, of Knox; six grandchildren, Jamie Mahaffey, Dean Jackson, Jennifer Jackson, Brice Kriebel, Emily Edwards and Spec. E5 Amanda Jackson, with the Army in Baghdad, Iraq; and seven great-grandchildren.

Two brothers, Willis L. Jackson of Emlenton and John A. Jackson and his wife, Linda, of Parker; a sister, Mrs. Thomas (Louise) Miller of Parker; a number of nieces and nephews; and a very close family friend, Paul A. Grazier of Emlenton, also survive.

His wife, Lucille Beals Jackson, whom he married Jan. 26, 1940, died Sept. 6, 1990. A brother, Robert Jackson, also preceded him in death.

JACKSON - Friends of Charles C. Jackson, who died Sunday, March 20, 2005, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today atHILE FUNERAL HOME, 1204 Kerr Ave., Emlenton. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Lori Danielson, his church pastor, officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow at St. Petersburg Cemetery, Clarion County.Memorial contributions may be made to Medi Home Hospice, 9173 Route 30, Irwin, 15642; or to the National Parkinson Foundation, 1501 NW Ninth Ave., Bob Hope Road, Miami, FL 33136-1494.
