Raymond C. Kifer
Raymond C. Kifer, formerly of Butler, passed away Monday in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.
Born in Tionesta, Sept. 23, 1919, he was 89 years old.
He and Lillie Jane, his wife of 62 years, have lived in Jupiter, Fla., since 2003.
After graduating from high school in Marienville, and attending God's Bible School in Cincinnati, Ohio, for two years, Raymond served three years in the Army in the Pacific theater during World War II.
He was an insurance agent for Western & Southern Life Insurance for more than 25 years.
He attended the Faith Fellowship Alliance Church for many years and operated a prison ministry in the Butler jail for about 20 years.
Raymond is survived by his wife, Lillie Jane Hindman Kifer of Jupiter, Fla.; a son, David Kifer of East Palestine, Ohio; a son, Thomas Kifer of Butler; a daughter, Esther Kifer Street of Jupiter; a sister, Edith Kifer Cunningham of Oakdale, Calif.; a brother, Kenneth Kifer of Fitchburg, Mass.; a sister Lois Kifer Aharrah of Sigel; and three grandchildren, Benjamin Street, Rachel Street Colletti and Jonathan Street, all of Florida.
