Lenna Lavina (Steele) Unger, 88, of Kittanning Township passed away Tuesday at home.

Born Oct. 7, 1927, in Pampa, Texas, she was the daughter of Dixon Bartley and Martha (McKinley) Steele.

Mrs. Unger worked at home as a housewife, and she was a member of the Tidal Presbyterian Church and attended the Church of Christ in Kittanning.

She enjoyed puzzles, reading, sewing and helping others.

Mrs. Unger is survived by her daughter, Linda S. Dunmire of Kittanning; her son, Carl E. Unger and his wife, Robin, of Leechburg; her grandchildren, Lenna Dunmire, Chad Unger and Lee Unger; her great-grandchild, Christian Unger; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald A. Unger; and her sister, Dixie Schuster of Spring Valley, Calif.

UNGER — Friends and family of Lenna Lavina (Steele) Unger, who died Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2015, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Friday at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, 200 S. McKean St., Kittanning.Interment will take place at the Lawn Haven Burial Estates.
