Sandra Brown

Sandra Kidder-Brown, 81, of Adrian, went to be with the Lord on Thursday.

She was born on June 24, 1933, in Masontown to the late John D. and Mary Martha Moody.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, the Rev. Thomas Kidder; her second husband, Ronald Brown; her daughter, Karen Crissman; her son, Christopher; and her siblings, Ed Moody, Margaret Walker, Polly Beas and Loretta Nara.

She is survived by her children, Sharon (Earl) Crissman of Windber, Thomas (Kathy) Kidder of Cowansville, John (Gidget) Kidder of Worthington and son-in-law, David Crissman of Butler; her grandchildren, Jason (Vikki) Crissman, Nathan (Daniela) Crissman, Jonathan (Angel) Crissman, Seth (Theresa) Crissman, Steven Crissman, Joyce Crissman, Patrick (Morgan) Kidder, Michael (Erin) Kidder, Nikki Bennett, David (Gretchen) Crissman, Rebecca Crissman, Allison Kidder, Alecia Kidder and Megan Kidder; and her great-grandchildren, Ava, Garron, Gabbie, Rachel, Gwen, Josie, Timothy, Finn, Titus and three more on the way. She is also survived by her sisters, Ruth Keslar of San Jacinto, Calif., Jean (Clyde) Knepp of Farmington and June Short and beloved niece, Bev, of Masontown, and her cat, Blackie.

Sandy was a member and deaconess of the Brush Valley Brethren Church, where her husband served as pastor for 23 years. She was presently employed as the church janitor. She also attended services at the Limestone-Reesedale Church of God and Bible Study at the North Main Street Church of God in Butler.

She loved her Lord and Savior with all her heart. She was an avid gardener and loved to cook and bake for family and friends. She was the number one fan of the Limestone-Reesedale Church of God Co-Ed Softball team, where she enjoyed watching five of her grandchildren play and then going for ice cream after the game.

Kidder-Brown — The friends of Sandra Kidder-Brown, who passed away Thursday, Aug. 7, 2014, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, 832 E. Brady Road, Cowansville.Additional visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. until time of service at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Brush Valley Brethren Church, Adrian, with Sandy's church pastor, the Rev. Vincent Edwin officiating.
